Baby Fox Was Given a Second Chance When Family Stumbles Upon Her in the Woods
Lifestyle| | By Margo Gothelf
When Beau Ouimette and his wife were out hunting for treasure in West Virginia, they stumbled upon something very precious. However, it was far from the gems that they were looking for.
While looking for the “gems,” Ouimette and his wife heard some small cries coming from an injured fox cub. Ouimette, who is a veterinarian, took a quick look at the fox and determined that it was a 1-month-old female who was severely dehydrated. The fox also had some dried blood around her neck, which Ouimette attributed to an attack. Ouimette thought that because of the attack, her family left her behind.
The Ouimette’s brought the baby fox back to their home and quickly nursed her back to health. They learned to earn her trust and fed her food until she was strong and healthy.
After the baby fox was healthy enough, Ouimette and his wife brought the baby fox to a local wildlife shelter that she is currently calling home.
