Donald Trump’s Walk of Fame Star Destroyed With Sledgehammer by Vandal
Los Angeles police officials are investigating a pickax attack on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
A vandal dressed as a construction worker defaced the plaque Trump unveiled in 2007 early on Wednesday as part of a protest against the property tycoon.
The man has since been identified as James Otis and he tells TMZ he’s prepared to do jail time for his crime.
Otis is hoping to auction off pieces of the star and donate the money to the legal defense funds of women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct.
But officials at the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce are unlikely to let his act of vandalism pass without punishment as each Walk of Fame plaque is worth approximately $30,000.
