Entourage creator Doug Ellin became embroiled in a nasty social media fight with his ex-fiancee after quietly breaking off their engagement.

The writer and producer, and interior designer, Maddie Diehl, became engaged in December 2014, but over the weekend it seemed their relationship had come to an ugly end.

Ellin first took to Instagram to share a revised version of the famous “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster, but instead, his message read, “Keep Calm, I’m Single.”

Diehl decided to respond with her own photo from a wedding, where she was snapped being carried by a group of men. In the caption she claimed she was looking forward to “new beginnings.”

Her ex reportedly left a pointed comment on the snap, suggesting she would have to get a job now that they are no longer together. She deleted his comment, but Ellin allegedly fired back by demanding Diehl return a car that he had previously gifted her, prompting the designer to not only delete that comment, too, but the photo altogether.

Ellin returned to Instagram on Sunday to delete his initial “Keep Calm, I’m Single” post, while he also apologized to his former flame for the online outburst.

He shared a picture of himself and Diehl in happier times, adding the caption, “I want to apologize for my insensitive post yesterday. @maddiediehl deserves nothing but love and true happiness in her life. I truly do hope she finds it.”

Ellin proposed to Diehl after four years of dating during comedian Andrew Dice Clay’s Las Vegas show.
