Facebook ‘Dislike’ Button Is Coming And Fans ‘Like’ It
Attendees at a townhall Q&A with Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg are giving the “thumbs up” on news today that the social media network is working on a “Dislike” button.
According to Business Insider, Zuckerberg told the audience, “I think people have been asked about the dislike button for many years. Today is a special day because today is the day I can say we’re working on it and shipping it.”
It seems Facebook is finally changing its tune on the idea. As recently as December, Zuckerberg said a dislike button wasn’t likely for the site.
“Some people have asked for a dislike button because they want to say, ‘That thing isn’t good.’ And that’s not something that we think is good for the world. So we’re not going to build that.”
As the news was announced Tuesday, many took to social media to express their excitement for the new feature.
Still, there are those who think it’s pointless.
