Australian rapper Iggy Azalea is taking singing lessons so she can contribute more vocals to her new record.

The hip-hop star often works with guest singers on her tracks and she has racked up a star-studded list of collaborators, including Rita Ora, Jennifer Hudson and Britney Spears.

Azalea is working on a new album called Digital Distortion, a follow-up to her 2014 debut The New Classic, and she recently released a snippet of a new song called “Team,” which features her singing.

During a question-and-answer session with fans on Twitter, Azalea confirmed it is her voice on the new track and revealed she has been taking lessons to improve her singing.

“I took singing lessons this year and so I was able to experiment with my style of singing more this time around,” she wrote, and when asked whether her voice can be heard on “Team,” she added, “Yup its my voice, why thankya … U guys just heard the outro [sic]. The hook is actual singing.”

She added of the new record, “A lot of songs I haven’t officially named yet still… Just done with my recording. Still mixing songs, getting feature vocals etc…”

The “Fancy” star disappointed fans this year by axing her tour, but vowed to get back out on the road once she finishes work on the new album.

The Great Escape Tour was previously postponed from spring to autumn, but the trek was later axed completely.

“As u may know, the tour is canceled. I’m so sad and sorry to let my fans down…” she tweeted when announcing the news. “We’ll be back out on the road when the next album is done.”
