Rapper Kanye West has reportedly been released from hospital after suffering a mental breakdown.

The Yeezus star was admitted to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center for a mental evaluation on November 21 after his allegedly erratic behavior sparked concerns over his health, and following over a week of treatment, TMZ reports the musician went home on November 30.

Sources tell the news outlet West is now under the care of his personal physician, Dr. Michael Farzam, at his family residence, surrounded by his wife Kim Kardashian and their two young children.

Although he is no longer under the supervision of doctors in the hospital, insiders claim his treatment is far from over. Apparently West, 39, will require ongoing outpatient psychological and medical care for an unspecified amount of time.

However, it appears he has lots of support in his recovery, as his wife Kardashian rarely left his side during his stay in UCLA Medical Center, and even celebrated Thanksgiving last week in the hospital with West.

Although the true nature of his illness has not been officially confirmed, sources suggest he suffered a psychiatric breakdown due to a mix of exhaustion and sleep deprivation.

His hospital admission took place hours after West’s representatives announced the cancellation of his Saint Pablo tour, following a string of erratic events, including a rant about friends Beyonce and Jay Z at a concert.

Sources claim the rigorous schedule of his tour, the anniversary of his late mother Donda’s funeral in November, and the stress over wife Kardashian’s October armed robbery ordeal in Paris all contributed to West’s breakdown.
