Lance Bass: ‘I Was Touched By A Pedophile’
Actress Ashley Judd’s recent revelation she was sexually harassed by a Hollywood movie mogul has prompted singer-turned-TV personality Lance Bass to open up about his experience with a “pedophile” who inappropriately touched him when he was a teenager.
The Double Jeopardy star detailed her alleged experience with the unnamed movie executive in Variety and while discussing the topic on Wednesday’s episode of The Meredith Vieira Show, the former N’ SYNC star claimed he also was a victim of a sick predator.
“It happens to men too,” he said. “It’s a two-way street. It had happened to me when I was 16 or 17 years old. When we (‘N SYNC) started, there was someone that we worked with that was inappropriately touching us. I wasn’t even aware then, at 16, that this guy was a pedophile and he was touching me. Oddly, I didn’t feel victimized at the time because I was very aware of it.”
Bass never told anyone what happened, but alluded to the fact some of his bandmates were also victims and they would discuss the unnamed pedophile’s actions among themselves.
“We would talk about it,” he added. “We would kind of joke about it but it’s not a joking thing – but as a kid, it was just odd. I am glad that we were aware of it and we didn’t feel victimized at the time.”
