Two little puppies at a pet hotel in Alberta, Canada, learned there’s nothing better than a mother’s love, and a video of that love has now gone viral.
Maggie, an Australian shepherd mix, was being boarded at Barkers Pet Motel and Grooming when two nine-week old rescue pups were brought in. The pups and Maggie were not boarded in the same kennel, but that didn’t stop Maggie from falling in love with them.
After the owners of Barkers left for the evening, they kept an eye on their four-legged boarders via a cellphone. And what they saw left them speechless.
Maggie wiggled her way out of her own kennel and found her way to outside the puppies’ area.
“We watched her on the cameras and she went straight around and she found their room,” said Sandi Aldred, the owner of Barkers. “It was really sweet. She just had to be with those puppies.”
Once Aldred returned to the motel, she let Maggie into the puppies’ kennel. It was love at first sniff. The threesome cuddled the entire night and Aldred found them still snuggling the following morning.

Sadly, Maggie’s owners came to pick her up that morning so she had to leave her new furry friends.
Apparently, Maggie had just weaned her own litter when she was adopted a few weeks earlier, which was likely the cause of strong maternal instinct kicking in.
