An amateur photographer captured a sight of something in the water that may very well be and prove the existence of one of folklore’s greatest mysteries – the Loch Ness Monster.

Ian Bremner, 58, was searching for red deer near Highland, Scotland, when what appears to be a snake-like creature swam across the surface of the loch, which is Irish/Scottish Gaelic for a lake with a sea inlet.

“I suppose it could be seals – but I’m not so sure,” Bremner told The Sun U.K. “The more I think about it, the more I think it could be Nessie.”

Bremner’s friends aren’t falling for it though, who see three seals instead of the aquatic lake monster.

There have been over a thousand sightings of the Loch Ness monster reported over the years and it is said that the tourism industry owes the fantastic specimen around £30 million for reeling in gullible believers.

Do you think Nessie is real? Or is that picture just three seals playing, one surfacing and the other two diving?
