Photos Of Val Kilmer Spark New Concerns For His Health
Hollywood veteran Val Kilmer has raised fresh concerns about his health after he was photographed with a breathing aid around his neck.
The Batman Forever star checked into the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles back in January amid false reports suggesting he was to undergo an operation to remove a suspected tumor in his throat.
He brushed off the cancer rumors in a post on Facebook in October, days after it was claimed he had been hospitalized for a second time this year to have a tracheotomy tube fitted.
“I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operation, or any operation,” he wrote. “I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU (Intensive Care Unit).”
Kilmer did not specify the nature of his illness, but went on to assure fans his October hospital visit was just for a routine check-up. A photo published alongside the statement featured the actor wearing a plaid shirt buttoned up to the top, keeping his neck hidden.
However, the 55-year-old’s health has come under scrutiny once again after paparazzi snapped photos of him outside a grocery store in Malibu, California last week, with what appeared to be a tracheotomy tube in clear view.
Kilmer wore a red bandana loosely around his neck, under the medical device, but made no attempt to hide the aid.
Representatives for the star have yet to comment on the latest images.
