Seth Rogen Shares Secret to Happy Marriage
Seth Rogen has shared the secret to his happy marriage to wife Lauren Miller – watch a lot of television.
The Canadian actor, who married Miller in 2011, revealed that the key to a successful marriage was also a shared love of food.
“If our relationship works, the only thing that we do is watch a lot of television,” Rogen told Entertainment Tonight. “So I guess we have to credit it to that.”
“And we eat a lot of buffalo wings,” his wife added.
“Yeah, buffalo wings and television,” the Steve Jobs star laughed. “That’s the key to a perfect marriage.”
The couple, who have been together for more than a decade, were honored at the star-studded Unite4Humanity event on Thursday at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, for their work with Hilarity for Charity, an Alzheimer’s awareness program.
Miller’s mother was diagnosed with the degenerative disease at the age of 55, and two of her grandparents also suffered with Alzheimer’s. She and Rogen set up Hilarity for Charity in 2012, and host annual fundraising events for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“We try to make events that are fun and funny because we know how not funny Alzheimer’s is,” Rogen explained. “We’re trying to counteract that in some way, I think, by distracting people from it.”
And, despite more work needing to be done to battle the disease, Miller admits that there has been a positive step in the right direction to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s.
“I was 25 when my mom was diagnosed, and I felt pretty alone… like people weren’t talking about it,” she said. “These days I feel like people are starting to talk about it. The stigma is starting to go away and the government did increase funding a little bit in the fall. (It’s) not nearly what it needs to be, but it was a step in the right direction.”
